Automation features, powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) for your Piwigo gallery.
Piwigo AI introduces automatic image analysis features:
- Automatic generation of image descriptions
- Automatic generation of image tags
- Text detection (OCR)
AI analysis are performed on upload and through a Batch Manager action.
AI does not run on your Piwigo installation. It only runs on dedicated servers managed by Piwigo Team. These servers are hosted by OVH (French company) and are located in France. Images are temporarily sent to our AI servers for analysis and are immediately deleted once processing is complete. No data is stored on our servers after processing.
This version is a beta: features may evolve, bugs may be present, and performance may vary.
This project received funding from the state within the framework of France 2030.

Compatibel met Piwigo 16
2 days 2 beschikbare talen- add tags indexation: a new card on the overview sends the tags of your gallery to the AI server and follows the progress live
- add tags modes (Configuration > Tags): open (the AI creates its own tags), smart (it prefers the tags of your gallery), closed (it only uses the tags of your gallery)
- add an Embedding option in the uploader and the batch manager: a vector of each photo, used to choose the tags, and later for similar photos and natural-language search
- analyses stay "unsent" when the AI server is down and are sent later
- show the analysis errors in the uploader
- tell an unreachable server from a refused API key
- poll the pending tickets as a fallback when a callback never arrives
- renaming a tag forgets its vector, it is indexed again at the next indexation
- vector features need MariaDB 11.7+ (smart and closed modes are not available on MySQL);
- fix: the tags and images web service methods returned empty answers on galleries with embeddings
